OUR FOUNDER

about-us-sarinah

My business journey in the beauty industry started in 2003, when I left native Limpopo as a 20 year old with little work experience but a huge dream to become part of the beauty and cosmetic industry in South Africa.

I have since worked for international cosmetic companies such as Estée Lauder, Chanel, Clarins etc

By the time l left the safety of the corporate world, I had risen to become Brand manager of eyeSlices SA. There I found both a mentor and the courage to follow my passion for locally grown, natural South African and Africa growing ingredients for a beauty range of my own.

After years of speaking to customers and women clients, I knew deep down that they wanted natural products not synthetic creams and lotions anymore.

I officially launched my company in 2016. So as an entrepreneur, you must never lose hope, no matter what comes your way, keep knocking, speak out and believe in your dreams even when no one else does.

Humble beginnings

Turning to her late Grandma for understanding and answers, she was told to look around her because there lie in solution to solve the reality of poverty. Her task was to find a way of turning these natural organic fruit like Marula, Baobab, Mongogo & Moringa into food for everyday consumption and skin nourishment.

Her Grandma and nature’s provision proved right. The solution was around her. She was astonished at immense power these African gems held. It wasn’t long after she started selling Marula porridge and Baobab drinks at school.

As an entrepreneur, Sarinah connected dots and was convinced that, if this natural food could improve lives and immune system as she witnessed them do, surely they can improve human skin positively. Sarinah kept all secrets not knowing when will time come for her to pass on the knowledge. But, like God’s word says, all things work together for our good. Having spent 20years in the beauty space, she got to a place where she wanted to be more useful and impact lives and contribute most passionately.
